Winter mornings with a cup of ginger tea gives a good start to your day, isn’t it? Adding ginger not only improves the flavour of your tea but also fights against many ailments including some fatal one too.

This pungent tasting herb is the root of plant Zingiber officinale said to be the aboriginal of southern China. Though largest producer of ginger is India, where it is used as spice in culinary and as medicine too. It contains Zinc, chromium, potassium, phosphorous, silicon, iron, calcium and magnesium in good amount with vitamin A, B, C and E. It can be consumed fresh, dried and powdered or in oil form.
