It is basically a pancake from grated potato. It is a simple dish that is easy to make in no time with very less ingredients required. You can have Rosti in breakfast or as a starter or when you have hunger pangs and you want to eat something which is good enough to satisfy your taste buds.

  • Potatoes par-boiled and grated – 2 Cups
  • Olive Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Green Chillies finely chopped – 2tsp
  • Onions finely chopped – 1/2 Cup
  • Black Pepper Corn Powder – pinch
  • Salt to taste


  1. Mix the grated Potatoes, Green Chillies, Salt and Black Pepper powder in a bowl.
  2. Heat olive Oil in a deep non-stick pan, add the onions and saute on a medium flame till a little brown.
  3. Now add the potato mixture, mix well and spread it evenly with help of a back of a spoon.
  4. Cover and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Turn the rosti upside down and cook on a another side for more 3 to 4 minutes.
